Isn't it a little odd that Himax is partnering with Lumus to develop the next generation of Smart Glasses?

I thought their BFF was a company called Google. What happened, scorned by former paramour? Himax is throwing themselves at every Smart Glass Maker they can find.  Like they contracted Kopin Syndrome.The PR mentions the LCOS Displays brightness but mentions nothing about their Achilles Heel, POWER! Two hours right Andrew? And the other odd thing, in the PR Himax touts their enduring partnership with Lumus in designing HMDs for Combat Aircraft. How's that working out?
