Stop Hyperventalating Over Kopin's Contract for SXGA Displays for the Navy's MH-60
inventory is 175 helicopters plus or minus. NAVAIR will keep Kopin in the fold as procurement strategy dictates that competition improves technologies and drive down costs, it's a nothingburger. They need more than one supplier in case anything dire happens. To me it looks like a typical defensive Kopin Press Release, no numbers, no program details just a headline. The guy Kopin hired away from Intevac would much rather be rolling out Apache type numbers but he can't because his old company supplies HMDs for those aircraft. (eMagin Inside)
