eMagin: Once Burned Twice Shy: Sonobuoy RFI went out Feb 27, 2019 and got the approval letter from Trump on March 12 2019. There are a number of sonobuoy manufacturers, don't know why there's a shortage. Perhaps like other tech supply (ahem) can't keep up with demand. Russian Subs prowling coastal waters sort of thing. Sparton having built 16 Million sonobuoys seems to be the go-to for the Navy. If eMagin could make 16 million we'd be in clover. No dollar figures attached to the documents. All the paperwork comes and goes out of Wright-Patterson, AFRL.
