Well since I am a poor, I run a Sionyx Aurora Sport digital NOD on my Team Wendy and I am absolutely floored by the capability of this thing for under $500. It is no Gen III when it comes to super low light, and battery life sucks, but with any lunar illumination it is damn good, and I appreciate not having to worry about tube damage like I did with my issue ANVIS-9’s back when I was flying. Its better than the PVS-7’s I have played with, on par with the beat up -14 the 3/5 Marines let me play with, but in true low light, short of the new -14’s, WP, and of course the ANVIS.
I guess Sionyx got a contract for R&D so I am excited to see if digital NV technology continues to advance to a truly usable level.
