Groundbreaking digital camera turns a starlit night into day (SRI developed this sensor for use in IVAS in cooperation with the Night Vision Directorate)...SRI developed the LL-CMOS imager and BULLITT camera under funding by U.S. Army Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) for use in the Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS).

a Digital sensor 25mmx25mm will do the work of much larger and less efficient I2 Tubes. Largely unknown IVAS program thread that has our BOD man, EB, in place there electrical taping all these components together. That's how they are getting to digital NV. The primitive proto is similar too, has to be, no Intensifier Tubes, eMagin's "failed" NVG Torch. And color too. eMagin has been working wih NVSED for a long time to develop the displays for this use. The reason they got the Mantech Award for the DpD.
