Just a little Ethnography. Raiders Fans attract people who look like Mad Max Extras, Boston Red Sox attract Ivy League self-styled Baseball Intellectuals. It makes sense that a company in a particular sense would attract those with a similar make-up. In the case of Microvision a fast-talking huckster attacks fast-talking hucksters. In the case of Kopin's CEO, hyperbole fueled by arrogance to make up for real achievement attracts people like Zierler, short on facts long on condescension.
Whereas eMagin's CEO is methodical, a grinder and that "steady as she goes approach" attracts the occasionally smart, kinda stubborn, kinda resilient kinda too serious types with some exceptions. He doesn't think he's a Demi-God and we know it.
