Review: Google Glass Explorer Edition 2.0

Last Year Robert Scoble seemed to be the chief proponent of Google Glass but gradually his attitude has changed to outright hostility based on battery life, cost and too few useful apps. Mr. Shanklin shares some of those concerns, battery life principally but is sympathetic to the device overall. According to management eMagin will not be ready to present a finished device to the Microsoft, Apple's and Google's of the world for some months. Perhaps then battery life, reduced dork factor, resolution and brightness will not be the concerns they are now. CES this year will be the greatest gathering of Google Glass knockoffs and upstart HMDs in the history of the world. Google has done their bit and carved out space for an entire new space for Head Mounted Displays. But, unlike them, the upstarts and knockoffs look like they just emerged from somebody's garage. We need to hear from the others. The long march continues.
