It's confusing Eugene. Immerex is ...

one the mystery "Specified Investors." However they no longer have a website, very little info on the web. I assume very few knew of them before CES and a few less afterwards. They at one time were "Hypervision" then Immerex. They released an HMD a few years back that drew little attention. Their entries at CES this year, LUCI and a as yet higher res, no-demo display in plexiglass, version ALYX, seemed to make an impression on everyone who held or demoed them. Their former (?) CEO Adam Li is now with AMD. I'm guessing that LUCI and ALYX are the HMDs Roy Taylor has been alluding too in public. "We've been working with a company in New York eMagin." "It's beautiful I can't wait to show it to you." He has used photos of eMagin's "Steampunk" VR Headset in public venues. Roy Taylor is focused on a device that can display VR and 3D content apart from FPS and stuff like getting eaten by sharks. Immerex rep at CES stated the target demographic was travelers, airlines, commuters etc. Aiming high as it were. They, ostensibly Immerex (AMD) have a partner Cloudminds, a Chinese outfit that has recently partnered with "Immerex" on coupling VR to AI and robotics with a goal to create VR experiences in 3000 cinemas around the world. Their aspirations go much further but that's an easy first step to get a handle on the present situation. Immerex appears to be a beard for AMD, a name that draws no attention to itself. Sound familiar?
Punch in Immerex, Cloudminds in the search box at the top. Their are some intriguing articles that lead to very large entities.
