Simply stated only eMagin's Display in ENVG-B and IVAS has the ability to communicate through varied Sensors, Night Vision and Thermal the complex data which streams from FWS-I as to the Target location, it's distance, the heat signature, the AR overlay (think of ENVG-B Video Game look) without the need to bring the weapon to his shoulder to re-acquire the target. First Shooter Wins!. So shooting around corners, shooting from the hip, shooting through a degraded visual environment requires complementary software and hardware and besides eMagin's ever-improving displays is the only one that's Qualified for use in Thermal/Sensor Fused Devices. eMagin is the Sole Supplier for the displays in ENVG-B and will be the same for IVAS. Kopin's which has some of the capabilities, not all will be in half or if it works out for Kopin in all the FWS-I scopes. eMagin will in the Sniper Version, FWS-S and they will probably share FWS-C, the Crew Version with Kopin when it's rolled out...

The FWS-I when used with an Intra-Soldier Wireless Compatible Display (Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-B (ENVG-B) or the Integrated Visual Augmentation System (IVAS) provides a Rapid Target Acquisition (RTA) capability. RTA is the ability to spatially align the Weapon Sights imagery, including the reticle, with the users Field of View and Overlay in the ENVG-B or IVAS Display.
