Since we are doing a little commentary, no L3 Panoramic NVGs do not have eMagin displays, they are direct view

but there were some Tac-Eye/Six15 stuff that went along and they rehearsed the mission using Intelligent Decisions Dismounted Soldier Training System which employs an eMagin HMD. Your last observation is spot on.

  i believe the L3 NVG 4 tube goggles have EMAN inside and were used by seal team 6...
  
  We can debate VR etc. but EMAN is a critical component to the success of the US military which i believe is very cool.
