Kopin's CFO Sneider said words to the effect that it didn't matter because they (now we know it was DRS and BAE) would never be able to achieve the video data transmission without "WIRES, too many "WIRES" that would encumber the soldier as he struggled to get into firing position. I hate to do the internet cliche but LOL. Now instead of having to acquire a target with the HMD, swing the NVGs out of the way and then reacquire the target it can be done almost instantaneously with out the clumsiness and redundancy of the previous system.
